(International School of Dru Yoga Dip DYT, CMA Registered Dru Ayurvedic Massage Therapist)
My professional background was originally as a teacher of Physical Education and Contemporary Dance. As a means of sustaining my own fitness I had, over the years, participated in a variety of yoga classes. In 2004 I attended a Dru Yoga Workshop and was astounded by how relaxed and uplifted I felt at the end of the day. It was different to any other form of Yoga I had ever practiced. After doing more research into this wonderful style of Yoga, I embarked upon the Dru Yoga Teacher Training Programme in Leeds and I was delighted to graduate in 2010.
My interest in Ayurvedic philosophy and massage was inspired by my love of Dru Yoga. The two compliment each other so well and create a holistic approach to health and well being. After two years of training I was proud to qualify as CMA Registered Dru Ayurvedic Massage Therapist.
I have set up my own practice so that I can create an environment where people can come to practice Yoga and enjoy a nurturing massage. My intention is to create a place where people can take time out of their busy schedules, to pause, and to reconnect with the quiet place inside each of us which we often lose touch with because of our hectic lives.
